The mind is a tangled mass of firing nerve fibers Clear thinking is a stranger to a lover's thoughts Random patterns generate within the mind of one So touched by the conflicting hands of lusty love Swooning abounds, irrationality all the more so One fact alone stands clear in the path of lovers They are alive, longing to be one, a singularity They mold together, indistinguishable and solid Life for them stands still unless they are apart Then the minutes are like hours, days are years Obstacles, such as distance, torment and taunt A phone line or a love letter ,a pale substitution For in their harbors the waves of love are brimming, They long to unite, It becomes their unending aim The heart overcomes the distance, the mind cannot |
